For the first time, On December 28, 2005, the PCSO Board granted Resolution No. 464 for testing the Small Town Lottery (STL). STL lottery was introduced in the era of President Corazon Aquino in the selected city of Luzon. It was the grassroots-based lottery used for charity purposes first.
At the beginning of 2006. PCSO officials signed contracts with private corporations to get more desirable results in January 2006.
They took a new bold step, and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office started a new charity fund-sharing plan in the following sequence:
- City or Municipality, 10%;
- Provincial Government, 5%
- Congressional District, 2.5%
- PNP, 5%.
Moreover, PCSO Officials added a centralized Small Town Lottery in the live on-air show, “Let’s Play Lotto,” in the middle of November 2017. Small Town Lottery is also known as STL. The owner of STL is Oceania Sur Gaming Corporation.
